Twenty soldiers comprising four officers and sixteen men of the Nigerian Army have been arraigned before a court martial in Maiduguri, Borno state over offences bordering on gun-running and murder during their operation in the state.

Troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE with assistance of Vigilantes on routine checks, identified and arrested a high profile suspected Boko Haram terrorist, Mohammed Mohammed Zauro(left) at Sabon Gari, Damboa Local Government Area, Borno State yesterday August 2nd. Preliminary investigation shows that the suspected terrorist kingpin was arrested as he was trying to flee to Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, from Sambisa forest.

For the first time in six years, residents of Borno and Yobe States celebrated the Eid fitr celebrations without restriction of vehicular movement and lock down of their States.

Two suicide bombers were killed by Civilian JTF at Kusari area near CBN Staff Quarters in Maiduguri, Borno state today June 17th. The suicide bombers were heading to a mosque to detonate the bombs strapped on them when they were stopped by some members of the state vigilante group. They were gunned down after they tried to escape while they were being questioned. A search carried out on them showed they had bombs strapped on their body.  *viewer discretion advised*
