Police Offer N10 million reward for anyone with information on slain Plateau Monarch

The Plateau State Police Command has announced a N10 million reward for anyone that can provide useful information that will lead to the arrest of those that killed Plateau monarch, the chief of Bokkos, Saf Ron Kulere and three others on Monday July 18th. The state police Commissioner, Adekunle Oladunjoye, made the announcement at the police headquarters in Jos yesterday August 3.

The Nigeria Police Force have invited Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara, his deputy Yusuff Lasun, Chief Whip Alhassan Ado Doguwa and Minority Leader Leo Ogor to appear before a Special investigative panel set up by the acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris, to probe the allegations of padding the 2016 budget leveled against them by sacked chairman of the House committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin.

Lagos state police command alerts residents on new tricks employed by robbers in the state

The Lagos State Police Command has alerted residents of the state on the new tricks employed by armed robbers to carry out their attacks, particularly at night. Spokesperson of the state command, Dolapo Badmos, in an interview yesterday July 3rd, said the criminals, in an attempt to rob or kidnap their victims, now switch off running power generating sets or sometimes turn off tap water, to lure their victims out of their homes and then carry out their planned attack.

Police retires AIG Joseph Mbu, 20 others

The Police Service Commission yesterday approved the retirement of controversial Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police, Mbu Joseph Mbu and 20 other AIGs. Mbu, a onetime commissioner for Police in Rivers state during the last administration, was always at loggerheads with the immediate past governor of the state, Rotimi Amaechi.
