Alleged budget padding: The lawmakers are thieves- Obasanjo says

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo today said the allegations of budget padding by Speaker Yakubu and thirteen other members of the House of Representatives shows that the lawmakers are thieves and have proven his comments in 2012 when he described the National Assembly as an institution filled with rogues and armed robbers. Speaking in a telephone interview with Premiumtimes , Obasanjo said President Buhari should not release funds for the constituency projects of the lawmakers.

Former Speaker of House of Representatives, Ghali Na’abba says there isn't any Nigerian that is more corrupt than former President Olusegun Obasanjo.‎ According to the Nation, Na'abba said this while reacting to Obasanjo's claim that the National Assembly is filled with rogues and thieves.

18 months after he withdrew his membership of the PDP and supervised the tearing of his party membership card by his ward leader in Ogun State, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, made a surprise entry at the party’s Convention Committee inauguration held at the Yar'Adua Center Abuja yesterday August 5th. It was not clear what exactly brought him to the venue as he refused to field questions from journalists.
