Purpoted Expulsion of Osun PDP Exco, a joke taken too far



The Osun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has described the purported expulsion of some party leaders by a breakaway faction of the Party as a ridiculous joke which portrays leaders of the breakaway faction as irredeemable rebels.



This is contained in a release issued and signed by the Osun State PDP Chairman, Hon Soji Adagunodo.

Hon Adagunodo said it was very ridiculous that a breakaway faction which has some of its members already begging to absorbed into the mainstream of Osun PDP will contemplates expelling bonafide members of the Party, who have been saddled with the onerous task of rescuing the state from the obvious maladministration of the ruling party in the
state.

While describing the action of the faction as illogical and certainly null and void, Hon. Adagunodo urged right thinking members of the public to regard the pronouncement of the group as that of a sinking man who desperately desires to hold on to any strand of grass with the hope that he could be saved.

According to him, “the breakaway faction of the PDP led by one Bayo Faforiji knows that it has no presence beyond a rented apartment somewhere in Osogbo. That pronouncement therefore can be likened to that of a critically ill man on admission in an emergency ward who claims to have powers to carry out disciplinary actions against medical practitioners who are working hard to heal him in the hospital.

 The constitution of the PDP is very clear on who can and how disciplinary actions can be taken against duly elected executive members at the state level talk less of NEC members. ”

Hon. Adagunodo added that people who sit down in the corners of their living room to share out offices among themselves could not exercise any authority over duly elected officers of the party.

The PDP chairman noted that the motley crowd of the breakaway faction would have been expelled long time ago due to their anti-Party activities but for the reconciliatory efforts with the hope that they would retrace their steps but as it is, they have demonstrated that the interest of PDP means nothing to them.

He said necessary organs of the party will shortly take decisive actions against any member who continues to take actions that desecrate the constitutionally and Nationally recognized leadership of the PDP in Osun state.

    Too sad that someone of Dr. Bayo Faforiji could exhibit traits of a dictator? Had he emerged as Osun State PDP Chairman, only God knows how he would have ruled!!!
