APC Plot To Arrest Akogun Lere Oyewumi On The Eve of Election.



With just few hours to the Osun west by-election, unsavoury ripples of politicking are mounting, Team Osun A'Lere have uncovered plans by the Osun state Governmment and the ruling All progressive party, intended to cripple the party by arresting its leaders days to the election. We have uncovered a clandestine plot by the Governor and his cabals to use the police and Nigerian Army to clamp down on its leaders.

We are aware of the arrival of Policemen, Dss from Lagos state to Osun State with the intention of clamping down on Akogun Lere Oyewumi and arresting PDP chieftains in Osun west senatorial district.

This plot is in furtherance of the APC’s plot to destabilise the election just because of Akogun Lere Oyewumi’s hard stance on Aregbesola stooge as Osun west senator. We therefore wish to alert Nigerians on this new plot and state that Osun people will resist any attempt to use the police to harass innocent citizens of the state.

Democratically, we are entitled to our views on any issue in Nigeria and we won’t succumb to intimidation and harassment from any agency of the federal government.

Akogun Lere Oyewumi, through its media team, however expressed confidence that Osun west would resist any attempt by the ruling All Progressive Party to use security agents to harass, intimidate and arrest opposition figures during the elections. We will ensure a level playing field and not resort to arbitrary arrest of political party leaders to give undue advantage to the ruling party.

We can tell you authoritatively that we have make police report and every modalities have been put in place to restrain APC and its military extentions from arresting Akogun Lere Oyewumi. Osun A'Lere Ooooooo
