Osun West By-Election Will Be Rig And Roast - Akogun Lere Oyewumi


Akogun Lere Oyewumi today threatened fire and brimstone over any plan to rig the Osun west-election, saying it will be rig and roast election. While reacting to an earlier statement credited to the Osun state Governor, Rauf Aregbesola that the election would be a warfare, he said For every action, there must be a reaction.

Akogun Lere Oyewumi said no matter the boast by the APC leaders that the coming election will be rigged in their favour, the good people of Osun state had made up their minds and are ready to take their destiny in their own hands by sensibly picking the best candidate that can move the state beyond where it is now, saying that candidate is Dr. Ademola Adeleke.

In his statement “We have no cause to be worried knowing the antecedents of APC’s leaders. Their only strategy is through violence and manipulation and intimidating people from coming out to vote in order to allow a free reign to rig the election.

But their plot will fail because the people are ready to resist them this time. We have said over and over again that we love peace because war is very expensive.

But we are not weak; and those who plan to temper with our mandate should get ready for the worst because we are ready to defend our votes and mandate with the last drop our blood".

Akogun Lere Oyewumi called on the leadership of the INEC and security agencies to be disconnected from the APC’s plans to rig the Saturday election.

“We call on INEC and security agencies to be mindful of the antics of desperate politicians within the APC and their planned attempt to rig the July 8 by-election, just as we had made the clarion call for relevant authorities to note the plan by some evil people to cause violence at the election for negative objectives."

He also implore its members and the Osun west people in general to turn out en masse on July 8 and vote for Otunba Demola Adeleke in order to free the senatorial district from the clutch of those who want to destroy it. Osun A'Lere Ooooo

Management of Unilorin plans to manipulate the forthcoming Student Union Election.

In order to manipulate the forthcoming student union election of the university of Ilorin, the Student Affairs Unit of the University has recently been engaged in a series of secret meeting with some indigenous personalities in the city.
