Senator Elect Akogun Lere Oyewumi Leads Victorious PDP Team To Alapomu of Apomu and Onikoyi of Ikoyi

•Alapomu of Apomu and Onikoyi of Ikoyi congratulates Akogun Lere Oyewumi and other PDP victors.


Akogun Lere Oyewumi on Tuesday led a thank-you-visit of PDP leaders to the kings in Isokan Local Government Alapomu of Apomu, Oba Kayode Adenekan Afolabi and Onikoyi of Ikoyi, Oba Taofeek Akande Iyiola Morenigbade {OYEBOADE 1} following the landslide victory the party recorded in the presidential and National Assembly elections in the state. 


On the Senator Elect delegation were House of Reps Elect Hon. Lanre Oladebo, Alh. Azeez Adeniran MAO, Hon. Jide Jooda, Hon. Tirimisiyu Adepoju, Hon. Waheed Abiola and other party chieftains.


Akogun Lere Oyewumi said the visit was for the purpose of appreciating the respected monarchs for their fatherly support for the party and their communities. He also eulogised the traditional ruler's for standing by them to succeed at the polls, and solicited same for the next electoral exercise in the state.


He said the King's prayers and fatherly support in the run up to the polls assisted the state to record a peaceful process. "We have also come to thank you for your prayers and the peaceful environment in which the elections were conducted, and the outcome of the elections. We will continue to seek your prayers and leadership. He sought the Kings' continuous guidance over the coming House of Assembly elections. 


"On the forthcoming elections, we also pray for your guidance and support. Whatever the outcome of the elections we know it has your blessing and rubber stamp. We thank your Royal Highness,” he added. 


The Kings', Oba Kayode Adenekan Afolabi, Alapomu of Apomu kingdom and Onikoyi of Ikoyi, Oba Taofeek Akande Iyiola Morenigbade {OYEBOADE 1} from their part, sought God's guidance and wisdom for the newly elected Senator Akogun Lere Oyewumi and House of Reps Elect Hon. Lanre Oladebo as they await their inauguration later this year. They also prayed to God to equally grant Hon Biola Inaolaji and other candidates of the party success in the polls slated for March 11.
