As the world marks International Workers' Day today MAY 1, I join millions of Nigerians in felicitating with workers across the country. I recognize the significant contributions of workers to the growth and development of Nigeria, and I commend their hard work and dedication. This day provides an opportunity to celebrate workers' achievements and recognize the challenges they face daily.


On this occasion, I urge employers to prioritize the welfare of their workers, providing decent working conditions, competitive compensation, and opportunities for training and career development. I call on the government to provide the necessary infrastructure and policies to promote workers' welfare, creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive and leading to job creation and economic growth.


As we begin a new month of May, I extend my warmest greetings and prayers to everyone. May this month bring peace, progress, and prosperity to every individual and your families. I encourage everyone to embrace the new month with positivity and hope, setting achievable goals and working towards their realization.


To workers across Nigeria, I acknowledge the challenges you face daily and the vital role you play in driving the nation's development. I encourage you to remain committed to your work and continue to contribute your quota towards the growth and development of Nigeria. I pray for God's protection, guidance, and blessings upon every worker in Nigeria, and for their efforts to be recognized and rewarded.


In conclusion, I wish everyone a happy International Workers' Day celebration and a prosperous new month of May. Let us remain optimistic and positive, embracing the opportunities and challenges of the new month with enthusiasm and determination. Management of Unilorin plans to manipulate the forthcoming Student Union Election.

In order to manipulate the forthcoming student union election of the university of Ilorin, the Student Affairs Unit of the University has recently been engaged in a series of secret meeting with some indigenous personalities in the city. According to an inside source, Mr Yakubu Ishowo, a one time President of the Student's Union who is an indigene of Ilorin is the arrowhead of the plan. The instruction given to him is to negotiate with the Sub Dean of the Student's Affairs Unit in person of Dr Abdul Raheem Yusuf to perfect their plan.   The essence of leadership within the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) is to represent the collective interests of students. Sadly, it appears that both the NANS national and zonal leaderships have lost sight of this sacred mandate. Their recent actions or lack thereof have not only sidelined the students they claim to serve but have also cast a shadow of doubt on the credibility of the association. The case of the Osun State Joint Campus Committee (JCC) is a glaring example of this betrayal.
