EID MAWLID: EMBRACING THE PROPHET'S TEACHINGS FOR A BETTER NIGERIA

My fellow citizens of Nigeria,

As we join millions of Muslims worldwide to celebrate the birth of Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W), I extend my heartfelt felicitations to you all as this sacred occasion reminds us of the Prophet's timeless teachings of compassion, justice, and peace.

The Prophet's life is an exemplary model for humanity, emphasizing kindness, humility, forgiveness, and mercy. As we reflect on his legacy, let us remember his words: "The best among you are those who have the best manners and character."

In today's world, the Prophet's message of unity, love, and compassion resonates more profoundly than ever. As we celebrate his birth, let us recommit ourselves to his noble ideals.

In Nigeria, we face numerous challenges that test our resolve and resilience. However, as people of faith, we must not lose hope. Instead, let us use this blessed occasion to pray for Nigeria's healing, growth, and development. May Allah answer our prayers and restore peace, ease, and prosperity to our land.

As we observe the moment and pray, let us remember our responsibilities as citizens to promote unity and understanding among all Nigerians, foster a culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, support vulnerable communities and those in need, finally, advocate for justice, transparency, and good governance.

Let us remember the teachings of the prophet which emphasizes on community service: "The best of people are those who are most beneficial to people."

I urge you all to engage in acts of charity, volunteerism, and kindness during this celebration. Let us visit the sick, support the needy, and spread love and joy to those around us.

To our leaders, you have a sacred responsibility to serve the people. Lead with humility, justice, and compassion. Prioritize the welfare and well-being of all Nigerians.

As we conclude this celebration, let us remember Allah's words in the Quran: "Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves." (Surat 13:11)

Let us change ourselves, our communities, and our nation for the better. Let us embody the Prophet's teachings and values.

Happy Eid Mawlid! May Allah's blessings, peace, and mercy be upon us all.

Salaam
