Lagos state police command alerts residents on new tricks employed by robbers in the state

The Lagos State Police Command has alerted residents of the state on the new tricks employed by armed robbers to carry out their attacks, particularly at night. Spokesperson of the state command, Dolapo Badmos, in an interview yesterday July 3rd, said the criminals, in an attempt to rob or kidnap their victims, now switch off running power generating sets or sometimes turn off tap water, to lure their victims out of their homes and then carry out their planned attack.

The Department of State Security DSS released a statement yesterday stating that it has arrested a member of ‎the Indigenous People of Biafra, Onwudiwe Chidiebere a graduate of Mechanical and Chemical Engineering who is allegedly working with  other members of the IPOB and some foreigners to plan a bomb attack on Nigeria’s largest computer market, the Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos.‎

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) and other security agencies have arrested a 30 year old lady at an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Dikwa town of Borno for allegedly killing her newborn child. According to the NSCDC Commandant in Borno, Ibrahim Abdullahi occurred on June 1st. The lady reportedly threw her baby inside a pit in the camp after she gave birth.
