Brief History: Dr. Kamorudeen Olalere Oyewumi at Glance

 



Dr. (Akogun) Lere Oyewumi under people democratic party(PDP).
Dr. Kamorudeen Olalere Oyewumi was born on January 15, I960 in Ikire township of Osun state, He holds BSc, M.ED and PHD:
He began his career with the old Oyo State Ministry of Works and Transport as a clerical officer and moved to the Federal Ministry of Education in 1988. He had a stint in the private sector when he became Chairman and Chief Executive of the NNPC petrol Station.
He was elected member of the house of representative, representing Irewole and Isokan Federal constituency of Osun State.
He was the caretaker Chairman Irewole Local Government Council and later elected two- term Chairman of the Council between 2004 and 2007.
In recognition of his achievements Dr. (Akogun) lere Oyewumi has several awards to his credit.
They include African international Leadership Award by South Africa’s International Trade and Services as the best Local Government Chairman in South West Nigeria and best Nigerian Local Government Chairman in the provision of infrastructural facilities awarded by Grassroot Development Survey, Abuja.
