Yeye Akogun Omolara Oyewumi Fecilitates With Nigerian On Children's Day

 

As today marked the International Children's Day, Yeye Akogun Omolara Oyewumi  joined Nigerian to celebrate the auspicious day. She noted that the importance of giving children a good preparation cannot be overemphasized because they are the foundation of the future. Yeye Akogun claimed that the greatest gifts one can give children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence. For this reason, it is important that we help them to develop all their potentials, to identify and develop their interests and capabilities in order to have a strong foundation. While she lamented that Nigerian children still suffers child labour, domestic violence and deprivations linked to poverty and ignorance. 

Yeye Akogun Oyewumi Omolara implored women to take up the responsibility of guiding their children towards becoming ideal citizens and work for the  betterment of the state and the country. She also called on the government to take the welfare of children more serious. She observed that Children are the building blocks of any strong nation. They are very small but have capability to change the nation positively. They are the responsible citizens of the tomorrow as development of the country lies in their hands. "Our children are leaders of tomorrow so they need to get respect, special care and protection from parents, teachers, members of the society and the Government" she opined.
