Osun West By-Election: Our Society Must Be Great Again



William Faulkner says and I quote ''Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion against injustice, lying and greed. If people all over the world would do this, it would change the earth''

We are now at a point in the history of our state whereby majority of the political persons we have do not support candidates based on their ability to deliver; or simply by going in the direction of their conscience.

 It is so embarrassing to note that the insincerity, inconsistency, instability and hypocrisy of these persons have override them of self-conviction and principle. Its high time we change gear, reclaim our sovereignty and our dear state from those that mortgage our future.

As Osun west by-election is fast approaching, we must guard our senatorial district against mischievous and selfish representation from stooge, docile and mediocre minds. The good people of Osun west senatorial district should yearns and votes for a moral political leadership which embodies and exemplifies Osun core values of honour, decency, honesty integrity, the rule of law and ideological uprightness.

We must not suscribe to any narrow minded superior to give the direction to go during the election without asking questions concerning the future of our community and selfless representation.

Osun west senatorial district should not let a thief into her house three times. The first time was enough, the second time was a chance and the third time means we are stupid, and we should not. Let must relentlessly campaign against impunity, authorithariansm, godfatherism and warn our people about the negative consequences of impunity in our dear state.

We must be positive - positive about the chance and benefits to be had from good governance, representation and dividends of democracy.

We are combatantly ready to get rid of people's excuses for being greed and power hungary though by tackling the issue in a positive way through votes. The ballot is stronger than the bullet.
