NOT YET UHURU IN ORIADE/OBOKUN: Keeping This Dream a Reality in the Name of the People

Within the past 12 hours, I have been inundated with calls and text messages from well-wishers and many within the Ijesa North communities all expressing their never waning support for my ambition. I have received huge solidarity rallies through calls and visits from numerous senior citizens of Oriade/Obokun and comrades in the struggle many of whom I never knew had their eyes and ears tuned to this campaign, taking note of and appreciating our little socio-political efforts in redeeming our federal constituency.

Needless to say the aggregate of the overwhelming support that this ambition has been blessed with all re-affirm it as one built upon the collective dreams and aspirations of the people. I am spurred by the uplifting messages and genuine acts of commitment from especially so-called ordinary men and women in our communities that have become the hallmark of this political journey. More surprising, however, is the continuous coming on board of strategic partners from within the political and economic heavyweights circle in our community. Indeed, many hearts have been melted and won over by the sincerity of this ambition.

There are way too many ills that plague our people. A socio-politically handicapped people miss out on the finer details of true democracy. This is why my team and I from the very onset set out to identify, address and stimulate popular support for this movement by letting the people take the lead in dictating the pace and direction of this ambition. That we have today been able to capture a great followership is testimony of the resilience of the people, their commitment to growth and proof of the strength of a united people.

I want to reassure members of my constituency, well-wishers and friends that I remain humbly committed to the intent of representing my people at the Green Chambers by 2019. It is a task that I have set upon boldly and with courage, daring to embody the preferences of the people encapsuled in objectives with the fervor of democratic dividends.

The journey so far has been tedious and trying, endured principally by the help of men and women with their sights on reaching the actualization of the reality of this dream. It is, however, not yet uhuru. There is still a long walk from where we are today to where we aim to be tomorrow. With the help of God and the people, I shall prevail in the contest to represent the good people of Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives. The odds may be stiff but our will as one people united behind an ambition will surmount all opposition effortlessly.

We must continue to persevere and never relent for success is right behind the storm of this struggle. Together, we prepare towards a new future like never before seen in our communal life as a people. The potentials for greatness are kindled in our hearts and spirits, we must get to the reality of our dreams and only together as one people, one family can we achieve this.

God bless each and everyone one for their words and acts of support. This are very much appreciated and oil the wheel of our progress.
