Senate Deputy Minority Leader, Akogun Lere Oyewumi, Continues Installation of Solar-Powered Street Lights


 

In continuation of the initiative and as part of his effort to fulfill the campaign promise of updating basic infrastructure that will bring succor to his constituents, Senator Oyewumi continues the installation of solar-powered street light projects in Ikire. The project is meant to light up dark spots around the communities, increase social and economic activities, and reduce criminal activities in various benefiting areas. The installation of the street light projects continues from Itamerin Junction to Sanngo Roundabout.


Senator Lere Oyewumi urged the residents to take ownership of the lights and other government infrastructure to prevent vandalism. He stated that the project and other numerous ones he had facilitated were meant to enhance the quality of life of the people and should not be destroyed. The lawmaker assured the people of the senatorial district of maximum cooperation and support that would assist the district in witnessing even development and thereby take the area into economic and security prosperit


The excited residents expressed their profound gratitude and commended Senator Oyewumi for his kind gesture and impactful initiatives aimed at improving the lives of constituents in the Osun West senatorial district, noting that the solar street lights would, in no small measure, improve the socio-economic well-being and the security conditions of the are
